Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Remark Deadline 2026: June Results Enquiries Close Today

If your June 2026 Cambridge IGCSE, O Level or International AS & A Level result was lower than expected, today matters.

Cambridge International's deadline for enquiries about results is 20 September 2026 — and Cambridge states that requests received after the deadline will not be accepted.

Do not confuse the two deadlines.

You can still obtain eligible scripts until 4 October, but that does not extend today's deadline for submitting an enquiry about a June result.

What is a Cambridge Enquiry about Results?

An Enquiry about Results asks Cambridge to check a result after it has been issued.

Cambridge offers different services, including a review of marking and, where appropriate, re-moderation of internally assessed work.

Students do not normally submit the request directly themselves.

Candidates concerned about their results should speak to their teacher or exams officer, and the school or examination centre submits the request to Cambridge.

Should you request a Cambridge remark?

Do not request a review simply because you dislike the grade.

First ask:

Was the result significantly below your usual performance? Were you close to an important grade boundary? Does the grade affect sixth form, university or another academic requirement? Has your teacher reviewed the result and suggested an enquiry? * Is there evidence that the script deserves another look?

With the deadline today, the most important step is to contact your school or examination centre immediately if you are still considering a review.

What if you want to see the exam script?

Cambridge's Access to Scripts service allows eligible centres to download students' marked exam scripts.

This can help students understand:

where marks were lost which answers were strong which topics need more work whether exam technique affected performance * what should change before a possible resit

For the June 2026 series, free Access to Scripts remains available until 4 October 2026.

That makes the script especially useful for students considering another Cambridge examination.

What if the grade does not change?

Then the next question becomes more important:

Why were the marks lost in the first place?

Was it:

weak subject knowledge? misunderstanding command words? poor Maths working? incomplete Science explanations? weak essay structure? timing? * exam technique?

A retake without fixing the real weakness can simply produce the same result again.

Parents: use the result as evidence, not just a grade

A disappointing result can still give you useful information.

Instead of saying:

“You need to study harder.”

Ask:

“Where exactly were the marks lost?”

That distinction matters.

A learner who understands the subject but struggles with exam technique needs different support from one who has significant gaps in Algebra, Chemistry, Physics, comprehension or written explanations.

The next study plan should therefore be built around the student's actual weaknesses, not a generic revision timetable.
